another week down...

it has been interesting... for sure.

Maybe next week will be better.

it ultimately could be worse, but I'm hoping that it gets better along with my mood.

*good news*

I did two successful blood draws today. And one unsuccessful one.

In my defense, the patient greeted me saying "I'm a hard stick, good luck finding something".

I found a vein, a teeny, tiny, almost not even there vein...

I refused to "dig" around in the patient after there was no blood return

 which is what the other girl did after I caved.

digging is what gives you wicked bruises... ever had one of them?!?!

not on my watch (or stick)   :o)

This same "vein digger" does glucose checks incorrectly, but I'm not going to say a word.

This is me being professional... and also learning how to keep my mouth shut.

I'm beginning to form opinions about my new co-workers...

I have a nurse secretly nick-named as the "eye-roller".

there is a "loud-mouth unprofessional HIPPA violator" as well

They all can be very nice to which I am VERY appreciative of... I just wish that a few of them had more compassion for the human race.

I'm learning the ropes of Ambulatory Surgery... slowly but surely.

Jesse is officially going active duty on Feb 16.

YAY!!!!!!

I have no idea what this entails... the entire getting-back-in process has been a mess and I'm sure there are more surprises before he signs his life away... again.
