~ no, I have not bitten off more than I can chew... I just took a really really big bite.
~ yesterday afternoon was my first day of PCA/SNA orientation.
~ I got to wear my 'big girl' uniform :o)
~ it sunk in while I was there that I have a medical job. a real medical job.
~ also while I was there, they gave homework. 28, yes 28 computer-based-modules with tests to complete by 8am saturday morning.
~sad thing... I did half of them 3 mos. ago but because they are in the year 2011, they don't count.
~ I am getting paid for 8 hours to complete them though. Awesomeness!
~ on saturday... I'm going to learn how to do an EKG and draw blood.
~ on real people.
~ as only 1 of 3 first year nursing students in the room of 20... my partner should be scared.
~ the rest of them already know how to... they're juniors.
~ moving on...
~ second midterm of the quarter on Monday... Fundamentals of Nursing.
~ why yes, yes I do have a lot of studying to do. Studying I was planning on doing today.
~ I'll still fit it in, but in addition, I'll just whip through the last 18 of my modules.
~ supportive husband
~ supportive family
~ lovely chanimals
~ and plenty of enthusiasm for this job and school
... this is how I'll do it!
I HAVE A JOB, Ya'll!!!!
I LOVE the new, super motivated, positive tone in this post. Get 'em, Girl!!!
ReplyDelete(I'd let you practice drawing blood on me!)
Now Brenna, I will let her practice nursing stuff on me as long as it doesn't involve the insertion of sharp objects. Well, insertion of anything really!
