your mission statement...

Hello dear friends...
:: All is well in Ohio with the exception of me missing my main man. It's weird how much we get accomplished while he is away but how much I miss his presence. *swoon*

:: I'm about to leave soon... my new neighbor and her family is uber sweet and we are going to hang out this morning. It's nice to have a friend in town... serious.

:: While lurking on one of my favorite blogs, I was asked the question of a personal mission statement. With this term being thrown around the last 13 years of my life in the military, I pondered what MY mission statement was. I don't have one, but I ought to.  I tend to live day by day and look forward to the end... I think I have things all messed up in my pea brain.

"I will encourage the discouraged. I will befriend the friendless, include the excluded and feed the creatively starved. I refuse to take life too seriously. At the same time, I will honor its weight. I will respect the time I am given. I will live a purposeful life. I will actively seek joy.  I will support. I will smile at strangers."  (desiignformankind.com)

or this...
"I will engage in the relentless pursuit of real, uncontrived beauty, in every form.  I will illustrate that beauty is everywhere, even (and sometimes especially) in the most unlikely places.  In so doing, I will work tirelessly to counter negativity, violence, sadness and desperation, and join forces with those who celebrate positivity, peace, kindness and joy.  I will convince the skeptical of their uncommon beauty, and I will create tools for helping the weary see the beauty in their own lives.  I will provide hard, irrefutable evidence that there is good in the world, and I will be fiercely dedicated to showing how beautiful our planet really is, one image at a time. I will smile at myself."

Deep... really deep for first things Wednesday morning, I know.

Much love and compassion to you from me.

ps... I don't get Microbiology. I keep reading and not retaining. Maybe that should be the first item on my mission statement :o)
