first things first...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!
Now that the most important message of the day is said... we can move on to less important things!
:: school
:: dirty house
:: dirty laundry
:: dirty dishes
:: no food
:: lots and lots of diet coke and coffee
:: achy back and left leg / foot
:: rain.... tons and tons of rain
I don't really have any great and exciting news other than I have been receiving quite a few emails from the school of Nursing informing me of what I still need to do. Come to find out, they schedule you for your Fall quarter classes... all 17 credit hours worth.!!!!! *insert an OMG gasp here*
17 hours... are you kidding me?!! Um... nope, it's true. Luckily I am given the opportunity to take one of those classes during the summer. The only problem with me taking a class during the summer is my summer is packed with stuff already: 2 week guard tour, 2 active duty manning assists, and a trip to OK.
I spoke with my superintendent about getting out of the 2 week guard tour but still doing the manning assists, and he said yes. I was truthful, honest, and up front with what was being expected of me, and how if I had to take 17 hours during my first nursing quarter, I will physically die of stress overload. Okay, maybe I put a better spin on it, but I was truthful with him...
Long story short... I am signed up for a hybrid microbiology class at a local community college this summer. One on-campus lab per week - Saturday afternoons for 4 hours. Teaching myself microbiology is not something that I will enjoy, but it allows me to fulfill at least a few of my commitments. I will have to talk with the prof to get excused for two of the labs (because of the manning assists)... I'm hoping he hearts the military?!
Okay... I need to get back to anatomy. And medical terminology. And laundry. And my grocery list. And the dust bunnies. And the dirty dishes. And ... ... ... ... ... um... ... ... I'm sure there is something else I'm forgetting, but I'll make sure and get it done too!
Love from Columbus to where ever you are.
Muah... B
*I love you Jesse Schartz*
